Bridal Boot Camp


Hi babes! When someone I follow is losing weight and getting healthy, I instantly want to know how! So I thought we could go through the journey together!


Diet – Currently, I am following a low carb/moderate protein/high fat diet, referred to as the ketogenic (KETO) diet. I try to stick to whole, high quality, nutrient dense foods.

I have been on and off this diet for YEARS but my longest stretch was two years ago when I started eating Keto in mid-October and in 6 weeks, I had lost 23 lbs. I felt amazing… my cravings were completely gone, I stopped obsessing over food and when or what my next meal was, and more noticeably, I had so much energy! After about a month, I started having a “cheat” meal once a week and I was still losing an average of 1 – 2 lbs per week. My clothes were literally falling off and I didn’t exercise once.

After the holidays, I “fell off” and started eating as much chocolate, takeout, french fries and everything else I could find. I was obsessing over food again and I was binge eating constantly.

The truth is one of the things I hate more than anything in this world is addiction and I can admit, I am addicted to food.


Exercise – In case you don’t know, I get married in January 2020. That’s 103 days away and I have just finished week 1 of my very own Bridal Boot Camp.

I am taking at least 3 SPENGA classes every week and going to the gym 3-4 times a week.

I have decided to focus on cardio at the gym since SPENGA has been providing significant muscle gain for me.

Week 1 (9/23 – 9/29) -4 lbs

Week 1 wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I didn’t get the “keto flu” like I have previously. I wasn’t craving much and I even had the energy to hit the gym once and I did SPENGA twice. I meal prepped on Tuesday night and Thursday night and really kept it pretty simple this week. I started the week at 214 lbs and ended at 210.
